About me
Kay Diamond
Hello and welcome to my page.
When looking for a counsellor there are a number of things to consider, but I believe the top priority is that you feel comfortable. The therapeutic relationship forms the foundation on which our work together will be based. It is vital you feel able to speak freely, which is why I offer a free, 15 minute, no obligation chat where we can get to know each other a little.

I began my counselling training many years ago, after having personal therapy to help me with anxiety. I was inspired by the compassion and understanding my therapist offered me.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory which explores our personality.
It shines a light on how our past experiences shape who we are and why we behave in certain ways. It helps us to understand our beliefs about self, others and the world around us.
It is especially useful in helping us to connect with others in more healthy ways. It also helps us to build a better relationship with ourselves, learning to quieten our inner critic, promote self compassion and esteem.
Unlike some other forms of counselling, TA looks for the root cause of our issues rather than just dealing with the symptoms.
I offer a calm and non judgmental space for you to explore your worries.
Many people tell me they don't know where to begin; and that's ok. There's no rush and no pressure, others are eager to 'offload' their concerns, which they may have been carrying for a long time.
Either way, it is important that we work together at your speed, tailoring sessions to meet your needs.
I will help you to gain alternative perspectives and explore any 'blocks' which may be preventing you from moving forward. We can explore unconscious
patterns of behaviour and outdated beliefs that may be holding you back.
